This workshop equips healthcare providers with the skills to identify and respond to intimate partner violence (IPV) in clinical settings. Participants will learn effective screening techniques and how to recognize the signs of IPV while applying a trauma-informed approach that prioritizes the emotional and psychological safety of survivors. The workshop emphasizes the role of health equity, exploring how factors like race, socioeconomic status, and cultural background influence the experience of domestic violence. Attendees will gain practical strategies to deliver compassionate, equitable care that meets the diverse needs of all patients affected by IPV.

The educational goal of this workshop is to teach healthcare professionals to effectively apply trauma-informed care practices and advanced screening techniques while addressing health equity in supporting domestic violence survivors.
