About the Workshop

Yoga is a philosophical system that provides a holistic approach to well-being, addressing the mental, physical, emotional, and spiritual aspects of a person. In this workshop, we will explore the concept of yoga as a tool in psychotherapy, learn about yoga's efficacy in trauma-informed care, and participate in 3 practices that help to interrupt the mental commentary.
Learning Objectives:
The goal of this workshop is to introduce yoga philosophy as a tool in psychotherapy and trauma-sensitive somatic practices.
The objectives are as follows:

- Participants will be able to explain the meaning of the concept of yoga.
- Participants will be able to utilize yoga's philosophical principles in the psychotherapy setting.
- Participants will be able to utilize trauma-sensitive somatic practices in the psychotherapy session.
