Organizations, not individual courses, are approved as ACE providers. State and provincial regulatory boards have the final authority to determine whether an individual course may be accepted for continuing education credit. TPN.health maintains responsibility for this course. ACE provider approval period: 03/31/2021 – 03/31/2022. Social workers completing this course receive 3 Clinical continuing education credits.

Jessica Harper earned her Master’s degree in Social Work from L.S.U. in 2006 and a Fellowship in Infant Mental Health from Tulane University in 2009. She is also a certified ACE Educator and a Practitioner ofTBRI. She has served in multiple capacities in the areas of education and state government for the past 14 years working mostly with children and families who have experienced adversity.

About the Workshop

This seminar will teach strategies to effectively and consistently teach social emotional and behavioral skills in a school or clinical setting. This will include how the concept of modeling, learning together and transferring skills to independent use (scaffolding) can be used.

 

Learning Objectives:

1. Learn how the concept of scaffolding assists students in learning.

2. Review particular behavior and social skills that improve student outcomes when they are having issues with behavior.

3. Teach how to use scaffolding in teaching behavior and social skills.

How to Register
